Zigonians; Free (Various)

Flag & Insignia-
Shown in the above Background, the flag of Free Zigonia is an adaptation of the Romani Diaspora flag (“Traveler folk” or archaically, “Gypsy”) where the open skies and grasses of the Steppeland are replaced with the two tribal colors of the different Zigonian factions then living in Azermenajan. The Purple represents the National Justice Party (NJP) An Azer-Zigonian alliance lead by prominent politician Ibrahim Boamos, and the Orange represents the Gypsy Nationalist Party (GNP) a militia force lead by Drafti Pettner to aggressively defend the Zigonian Population from any legal or extra-legal forces that may come for them, such as the Sons of the Lance.

Ibrahim Boamos-
Occasional Professor, Mayor, and even once the President of the DAWN Government, Boamos was known as a kind, firm, and gracious living example of a commitment to peace and justice.

Drafti Pettner-
Little is known about his early years, but Pettner rose to prominence by avenging his village against the Sons of the Lance with a gifted guerilla strategy leveraging the Eastern Badlands of Azermenajan against all who came for him and his people. Somewhat overshadowed as a leader by Boamos, make no mistake- Pettner was as critical to the military and political successes of the Free Zigonian movement as Boamos. He is credited for the bold move to take advantage of the chaos of the arrest of Kirtap and the resulting fall of Kirtapalot, to establish an independent Zigonian State inside Azermenajan. While the UN later negotiated Free Zigonia’s return to Greater Azermenajan and Pettner supported the resulting DAWN government, many still remember the glory and dream of a Free Zigonia.
